Influence of Thermal and Thermomechanical Stimuli on Dental Restoration Geometry and Material Properties of Cervical Restoration: A 3D Finite Element Analysis

Cervical restoration of a premolar tooth is challenging task as it involves structural modification to ensure the functional integrity tooth. The lack retention in cervical area, with cavity margins on dentin and nonavailability enamel, makes for restoration. high organic content dentin, along its tubular structure outward flow fluid, make bonding difficult attain. objective this study evaluate impact thermal thermomechanical stimuli geometry dental restorations region. In present study, three-layered restorative material made glass ionomer cement, hybrid layer, composite resin considered by varying thickness each layer. Group 1 elliptical-shaped cavities generates von Mises stress about 14.65 MPa (5 °C), 41.84 (55 14.83 °C 140 N), 28.89 respectively, while trapezoidal showed higher 36.27 74.44 34.14 75.57 which comparable elliptical cavity. result obtained from analysis helps identify deformation volume change that occurs due various real-time conditions, such temperature difference stress. provides insight into behavior novel materials varied thicknesses levels through simulation.
